C&I Charge-offs Decline, But Noncurrent C&I Loans Are Still Growing - The chart depicts amounts (expressed in $Billions) of noncurrent C&I loans and quarterly C&I loan net chargeoffs by FDIC-Insured commercial banks during the most recent and previous 20 quarters. A portion of each bar indicates the C&I amounts that commercial banks charged off (net of recoveries) during each quarter. The complementary portion of each bar indicates noncurrent C&I loans held by commercial banks.
